Victory Over Belugas Takes Alaskan to 65-24
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks picked up a win at Belugas Ballpark, knocking off the Brinkley Belugas, 5-3. Starting pitcher Júlio Valenzuela, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Valenzuela got the win, improving to 6-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Valenzuela allowed 3 earned runs. Mau Delgado converted his 4th save in 5 tries.
Dallas Ihde, who is rated as the 58th best prospect by BNN, aided the Alaskan cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 2-5 with 2 singles.
