Nicholas Beyer could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Alloway Halberds lost, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Sunset District Fog at Ballpark of Alloway. Felipe Lozano was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 4 walks and no strikeouts. Michael Brown was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 13 save opportunities.
Early in the game, first baseman Ieyoshi Samurakami had a 3-run home run for Sunset District. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Fog on top, 3-0.
