Getting a good performance from third baseman Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, the Brinkley Belugas defeated the Florida Men, 11-2. Nahasapeemapetilon hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Belugas. Matt Martin got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 8 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Brinkley, at 49-27, sits in second place in the Menard's AAA.
Felix Plugge hit a run-scoring double off Zafar Zahir in the top of the fifth, which put the Belugas in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Plugge had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Brinkley skipper Ricardo Medina.
