BC Fall Short at Port Royal
|
Gary Chalmers made an impact in the 7-6 Port Royal win over Houston. Chalmers, who is tied for 5th in the 3AAA in hits with 87, was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. Port Royal is now 35-37, Houston 24-48.
Chalmers had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Adam Green, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Disaster a 7-6 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Chalmers.
"We got the victory," said Chalmers. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
