Big Day by Serrato Ignites Coyotes Win
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Alejandro Serrato, the Hamilton Coyotes defeated the Brinkley Belugas, 7-5. Serrato was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Coyotes. Ray Goolsby got credit for the win, improving to 3-7. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings. Errol Lange sewed up the save, his 2nd.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Serrato hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Coyotes into the lead, 4-1.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Hamilton manager David Pacheco.
Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 17-55 record.
