Dodos Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Red Pandas
|
Hialeah pitcher Cisco Ortíz did his part in helping his team beat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Hialeah reliever Aurelio Ornelas picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Fred Pitts was saddled with the loss. Hialeah is now 32-35.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the batter, Errol Levick, hit a double. It helped Hialeah seize the win.
"It was a solid team effort," said Levick after the game.
