The Port Royal Disaster easily defeated the Alloway Halberds, 13-4, at Ballpark of Port Royal, with center fielder Loren Stallings a main contributor to the win. He was 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs for Port Royal. Port Royal reliever Kevin Samuels picked up the win to move to 3-1. Joel Farrell suffered the loss. Port Royal currently is in 6th place in the Menard's AAA at 33-34.
The Disaster got a big at-bat from first baseman Arsenio Sameiro. For the game, Sameiro was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 63rd hit of the season gave Port Royal a 3-2 lead.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Sameiro said.
