Chalmers, Disaster Rough Up Fog

The Port Royal Disaster met little resistance from the Sunset District Fog, beating them 14-1 at Fog Park. Gary Chalmers led the way. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 for Port Royal. Chet Saks picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-4. He struck out 5 in 7.2 innings. The Disaster, now 32-33, have won 4 in a row.
One important at-bat for Port Royal came with two out in the top of the ninth inning. With the bases loaded, Chalmers hit a grand slam, which contributed to the Disaster win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Chalmers told the Port Royal Gazette.
