The Alloway Halberds did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Brinkley Belugas at Belugas Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Joel Farrell, who captured player of the game honors. In 8 innings, Farrell surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Seb Alport was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 5 save opportunities.

The Halberds got a big at-bat from right fielder Carlos De Jesús. For the game, De Jesús went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Alloway a 3-2 lead.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Farrell told the Alloway Daily.
