Halberds Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Belugas
|
Brinkley third baseman Apu Nahasapeemapetilon had a good game, even if his team did not. The Belugas dropped a 6-4 decision to Alloway at Belugas Ballpark. Nahasapeemapetilon was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Alloway reliever Akihiko Rin was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Juan Montoya took the loss for Brinkley. Seb Alport was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.
Juan Salinas drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Alloway. The 31-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Juan Montoya. It was his 23rd RBI of the season.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Alloway manager Yoshifumi Kamuta.
Alloway, at 26-33, occupies 10th place in the Menard's AAA.
