Late Rally by Disaster Secures Win
|
Florida got a terrific performance from pitcher Martín Aguilar, but it wasn't enough to beat the Port Royal Disaster. Port Royal won the Ballpark of Port Royal contest, 4-3. Aguilar was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Port Royal is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Port Royal right fielder Mike Case, facing Tyler Lund, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Disaster the 4-3 win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Case.
