Halberds Topple Great Lakers with Late Rally
A nice crowd turned out to see the Alloway Halberds and Pure Michigan Great Lakers clash at Lansing Park.

Alloway Halberds starter Nicholas Beyer pitched a strong game against the Pure Michigan Great Lakers at Lansing Park, leading the Halberds to a 8-3 win. The winning pitcher was Beyer, now 5-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5.

Carlos Ávila made it 4-2 in favor of Alloway when he delivered a 2-run double. It came with no one out in the top of the eighth. The Halberds went on to win.

"We did a lot of things right," said Ávila.

Alloway is now 24-29.
