BC Suffer 6-1 Loss to Fog

The Sunset District Fog topped the Houston BC, 6-1, in M3L Triple A action at Fog Park. The player of the game was Sunset District pitcher and Waalwijk, The Netherlands native Abraham van der Meulen. van der Meulen went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-5. Houston has now lost 4 in a row.
The Fog got a lift from third baseman Chad Shafer who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth inning off Steve Costlow. It was his 57th walk of the season and put Sunset District in front, 2-1.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said van der Meulen.
