Timber Hawks Saddle Belugas with 5-3 Loss
|
The Brinkley Belugas got a sterling performance from shortstop Luis Yander La O, but the Timber Hawks still prevailed, 5-3. Yander La O was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. Omara Moctar picked up the save for Augusta, his 6th of the year. Augusta has now won 3 in a row.
In the top of the third, Uchino Akahito hit a 2-run single for Augusta. The 35th hit of the season for the Augusta catcher put the Timber Hawks on top, 2-1.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Akahito said.
