Red Pandas Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Great Lakers
|
Edmund Blackadder pitched well, but the Pure Michigan Great Lakers still lost the game, falling 1-0 to the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest. Sukejuro Yokoyama picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Edmund Blackadder was tagged with the loss. Valentín Montenegro closed the game out for Sioux Falls, earning his 1st save.
Early in the game, second baseman Vito Middendorf had a solo home run for Sioux Falls. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Red Pandas on top, 1-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Middendorf told reporters after the game.
The Red Pandas bumped their record to 25-25 with this latest triumph.
