Humpbacks Shut Out Disaster
|
Port Royal had no answer for Alaskan Humpbacks starter Júlio Valenzuela, who flummoxed Disaster hitters as the Humpbacks cruised to a 6-0 victory. Getting the save was Sam Schultz, his 6th. The Humpbacks improved to a lofty 36-14.
Early in the game, right fielder Kanko Umaba had a 2-run double for Alaskan. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Humpbacks on top, 2-0.
"We played hard and won," said Valenzuela. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
