The Alloway Halberds took Houston pitcher Israel Zorita's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Alloway. The final score had Alloway getting past the BC, 4-3. Zorita went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 5. Alloway reliever Seb Alport picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Pepe Delgado was saddled with the loss. Alloway is now 18-25.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Alloway trailing 3-2, Kelly Harris hit a fastball from Pepe Delgado to center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Halberds had a walk-off win.
"I know we have our doubters," said Houston manager . "But I still have high hopes for this team."
