Abbey Rips Alloway for 5 Hits
|
Disaster shortstop Nelson Abbey had his way with Alloway pitching today at Ballpark of Port Royal and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Halberds ruined his great day by toppling the Disaster, 6-2.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Alloway credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Abbey did today," Halberds skipper Yoshifumi Kamuta said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Nelson Abbey singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
Abbey is hitting .321 this year with no home runs and 10 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .404, 11 walks and scored 12 times.
