Belugas Go Down to Defeat, 7-3
|
It was a good time at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, where fans came to watch the Brinkley Belugas and Hamilton Coyotes get after it.
Hamilton Coyotes starter Nelson Cuevas pitched a strong game against the Brinkley Belugas at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, leading the Coyotes to a 7-3 win. The winning pitcher was Cuevas, now 1-2. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3.
Early in the game, third baseman José Gómez had a 3-run home run for Hamilton. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Coyotes on top, 3-0.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Gómez.
Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 9-28 record.
