Brinkley and Houston duked it out at Belugas Ballpark and the Belugas came out victorious.
The Brinkley Belugas got a stellar performance from pitcher Luis Hernández, who handcuffed the Houston offense en route to a 3-1 win at Belugas Ballpark. Hernández got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. Hernández allowed no earned runs. Austin Aries picked up the save, his 6th.
Arana Sashi, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA in extra base hits with 12, helped out the Brinkley cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the center fielder went 2-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"We take it day by day here," said Sashi, "and today was a good one for us."
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Brinkley.
