Brinkley and Sioux Falls got after it at The Bamboo Forest.
The Brinkley Belugas stymied the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-1, at The Bamboo Forest. Felix Plugge, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs for Brinkley. Juan Montoya, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 6 innings.
Plugge had a key at-bat for Brinkley early in the game. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Brinkley an early 1-0 lead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Sioux Falls manager Davis Burt.
