Belugas Win at Alloway, 4-1
|
Brinkley Belugas starter Matt Davenport was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Alloway Halberds, 4-1. The save went to Austin Aries, his 3rd this season. The Halberds, at 6-13, have stumbled out of the gate.
The Belugas got a big at-bat from catcher Felix Plugge. For the game, Plugge was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 19th hit of the season gave Brinkley a 1-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Plugge said.
