Fog Top Red Pandas to Even Record
|
In a tight game between the Sunset District Fog and the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, pitcher Mark Roddam was terrific on the mound. The Sunset District right-hander was named the player of the game in Sunset District's 3-0 win. Roddam, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Augusto Vélez earned his 4th save in 5 tries.
Rodrigo Rodríguez helped out the Sunset District cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Sunset District manager John Muńóz said.
