The Las Vegas Flamingos eked out a 2-1 win versus the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Atlantica. Nobody did more than pitcher Germán Rodríguez, who captured player of the game honors. Las Vegas occupies third place in the Premier League at 16-11.
Las Vegas grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Victor Adams delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Flamingos.
"I really like what we did out there today," Rodríguez said after the game.
