Halberds Continue Skid Thanks to Christopher, Humpbacks
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks defeated the Alloway Halberds, 10-7, at Sea World. Alaskan catcher Bobby Christopher was named player of the game for his superb performance. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Alaskan reliever Sam Schultz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Martin Besnier was saddled with the loss. With the win, Alaskan pushes its record to 5-1.
Lee Suárez, who was drafted in the three round of the 2028 draft, helped out the Alaskan cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"We're all smiles after that win," Suárez told the Alaskan Chronicle.
