Patriots Come Up Short at Panama City
|
The Piranhas had to overcome a fine performance from Boston pitcher José García to grab a 4-3 win at The Tank. García allowed no earned runs over 5 innings. The Patriots, now 11-15, have lost 5 in a row.
Sergio Ortíz swatted a 3-run home run for Panama City in the bottom of the sixth. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Ortíz said after the game.
