Grey Wolves Hang 8-4 Loss on Stingers
|
Vancouver starter Ray Skipworth had a strong outing against the Toledo Stingers at Pacesetter Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-4 win. Skipworth picked up the win for Vancouver, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Roy Shively earned the save, his 1st, for the Grey Wolves.
One of the key players for the Grey Wolves was shortstop Wilson Vega, who drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning. For the game, Vega was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
"I felt good up there," said Vega. "I saw the ball well."
Vancouver has now won 3 straight, while the Stingers have lost 3 in a row.
