The Grafton Middies got a stellar performance from pitcher Don Blessing, who handcuffed the Houston offense en route to a 8-1 win at Houston Grounds. The Middies now have a record of 9-13 with the win over Houston.

Grafton relied on the hitting of Bartolo Soto to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Middies on top, 1-0. For the game, Soto had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Blessing.
