Dodgers Fall to .500 After Loss to Hotspur
|
Phoenix Hotspur starter Juan Guillén turned in an exceptional performance against the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbetts Field, resulting in a Phoenix win, 4-2. The winning pitcher was Guillén, now 2-2. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 7. Phoenix is now 10-12.
The Hotspur got a big at-bat from center fielder Wagaw Lukongolo. For the game, Lukongolo was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Phoenix a 4-2 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Phoenix manager Michael Esposito.
