Cotilla Throws 3-Hitter En Route to 3-2 BC Win
|
The Philadelphia 1776 BC did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Richardson City Thundercats at The Thunder Dome. Nobody did more than pitcher José Cotilla, who captured player of the game honors. The BC bumped their record to 56-52 with this latest triumph.
Cotilla was in the zone all game. He frustrated Richardson City hitters while giving the BC 9 innings of quality work. Cotilla threw 113 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 5 punchouts.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Cotilla told reporters after the game.
