Northern Lions BC Get Road Win, 5-2

Thunder Bay and D.C. duked it out at Washington Stadium and the Northern Lions BC came out victorious.
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the D.C. Divided, 5-2, in United States Silver League action at Washington Stadium, with Thunder Bay pitcher Stewart Fleming named player of the game. In 7 innings, Fleming surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Anatoly Ivanovich converted his 20th save in 24 tries.
Thunder Bay relied on the hitting of António Mendoza to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 3-1. For the game, Mendoza had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Feels good to get the job done," Mendoza said after the game.
The win puts the Northern Lions BC at 55-51, while the Divided drop to 54-52.
