Season Ends for Malulani Anakone of Asheville Friday, August 1st, 2031 The season is ending on a bad note for Malulani Anakone, reliever for the Asheville Highlanders. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Anakone was hurt against the Phoenix Hotspur Youth while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn labrum and will be out for at least 10 months. To date this year Anakone has won 1 and lost 2 with a 4.18 ERA, 1 save and 27 strikeouts in 12 relief appearances. |
