Lannister United Devastated by Playoff Elimination Saturday, September 20th, 2031 Members of the Lannister United Lionhearts are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said reliever Fernando Elías. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." The Lionhearts have missed the playoffs 13 times in their 16 years as a USSL Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2026. In the last 10 seasons, the Lionhearts have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
