Atlantic City Shortstop Nets SAA Award Monday, September 1st, 2031 24-year-old Toyozo Yamasaki made a few Atlantic City headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Yamasaki collected no home runs, 3 RBIs and scored 1 run. On the season, Yamasaki is batting .257 with 4 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 86 games. |
