Milton No Match for McCarthy Saturday, May 31st, 2031 The Pawnee ParksNRec shut out the Milton Dogfish Head 1-0 today behind the strong pitching of Joey McCarthy. McCarthy surrendered only 2 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 7. Following the last out, McCarthy appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Milton manager Josh Jackson, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. McCarthy's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The Dogfish Head skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the ParksNRec press conference, McCarthy confirmed that it was regarding the celebration. "He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," McCarthy said. "And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Pawnee manager Rusty Bennett added.
