Red Pandas Gutiérrez Suspended Friday, September 5th, 2031 Pedro Gutiérrez was incensed today after he was suspended by the commissioner's office for 3 games following a wild argument at the Sioux Falls-Pure Michigan game. The league cited the Red Pandas left fielder for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," in the notification letter. Gutiérrez strongly objected to a questionable call by the home plate umpire and was ejected. "Ejection? Maybe. But not suspension. It's ludicrous is what it is. It's totally uncalled for. I have no idea why. You have to ask the people in the league office that wear the coats and ties and don't get on the field. I didn't cause the altercation, the umpire did. It was a lousy call." Gutiérrez is hitting .254 so far this season with 37 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has 87 hits including 6 home runs, 48 walks and .348 OBP. |
