3L Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Velásquez Wednesday, October 1st, 2031 At only 24 years of age, Orlando Velásquez could very well be having many more months like the last this in his career. That would be great news for fans of the New Orleans Voodoo, as September was one to remember for the third baseman and he has captured the Menard's Third League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .364 with 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and 17 runs scored. So far this year in 108 games Velásquez is hitting .259 with 18 home runs, 48 RBIs and 71 runs scored. |
