Bowties End van Enk's Streak
Friday, September 5th, 2031
It was the best of both worlds for the Buckhead Bowties today at Detroit Field, as they defeated the Detroit Renaissance 7-4 and also snapped Quincy van Enk's 20-game hitting streak. The 29-year-old Detroit catcher failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against van Enk, we just wanted to win the game," said Bowties skipper Kerry Hofmeister. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, van Enk frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

In 66 games van Enk is hitting .301 this season with 75 hits, 10 home runs, 33 RBIs, 18 walks, .359 OBP and has scored 32 runs.
