Columbia's Sánchez to Miss Season
Saturday, June 14th, 2031
The news is bad in Columbia. The River Rats have lost the services of starting pitcher Mario Sánchez for the rest of the season due to a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Sánchez was injured in a recent game with the South Beach Blaze while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 9-10 months.

So far this year Sánchez has made 0 starts, tossed 15.1 innings, struck out 9 batters and walked 7. His record is 0-1 with a 2.35 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .164 batting average.
