Cauldrons, Hughes Blank Athletic Club KC Sunday, August 31st, 2031 The Hogsmeade Cauldrons posted a 4-0 shutout over the Athletic Club KC U-21 today on the strength of a strong performance by Chris Hughes. The Cauldrons pitcher held the U-21 to 9 hits while walking 0 and fanning 9 in the route-going win. "It feels good to be wearing a Hogsmeade Cauldrons uniform today," the right-hander said following the game. So far this year Hughes has made 20 starts, tossed 136.2 innings, struck out 106 batters and walked 35. His record is 10-8 with a 3.03 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .259 batting average.
