Roarick Rips Syracuse for 5 Hits
Tuesday, August 19th, 2031
U-21 left fielder Andy Roarick had his way with Syracuse pitching today at ACKC Youth Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Storm ruined his great day by toppling the U-21, 16-11.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Syracuse credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Roarick did today," Storm skipper Chad Hess said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Andy Roarick singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Cheung Lai in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
Roarick is hitting .267 this year with 6 home runs and 40 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .306, 13 walks and scored 27 times.
