Hamm stopped them on 3 hits while walking 0 and striking out 9. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Hotspur skipper Michael Esposito said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Hamm has made 17 starts, tossed 127.2 innings, struck out 106 batters and walked 26. His record is 8-6 with a 3.88 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .248 batting average.
