Hakoda Day-to-Day with Injury Friday, October 10th, 2031 Northern Virginia's star first baseman Kyoji Hakoda injured himself in a game against the Portland Evergreens, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a hyperextended elbow and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Hakoda with a smile as he talked to reporters. Hakoda is hitting .316 this year with 25 home runs and 89 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .396, 50 walks and scored 68 times. |
