Thundercats Win at Toledo, 12-5
|
The Richardson City Thundercats defeated the Toledo Stingers, 12-5. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Anselmo Berneu, who was 1-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Richardson City reliever Kelsey MacGillivary picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Enrique Castro absorbed the loss. With the win, the Thundercats improved to 48-38.
Fernando Ramírez helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 3-run home run to give Richardson City a 3-0 lead.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Richardson City skipper Imran Kopitar.
