Middies Lose to Athletic Club KC, 6-2
|
The 2031 season is getting ugly for Grafton.
The Athletic Club KC grabbed a 6-2 win over the Grafton Middies at Field of the Middies. Athletic Club KC center fielder Jesús Vargas was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. Raúl Luna was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 18 save opportunities.
Vargas had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Athletic Club KC went on to win.
"We take it day by day here," said Vargas, "and today was a good one for us."
Athletic Club KC, at 43-40, sits in 6th place in the Silver League.
