The Richardson City Thundercats bested the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-0, at The Thunder Dome. Tomás Martínez was named player of the game. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. Richardson City reliever Josef van der Poel picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Art Adams shouldered the loss. The Flamingos, now 36-26, have lost 6 in a row.
Yun Yen helped out the Richardson City cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the designated hitter drove in one run.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Martínez said.
