Thundercats Edge Express, 7-6
|
Despite a great performance by Wizarding center fielder Ralph Cranford, the Richardson City Thundercats defeated the Express by the score of 7-6 at The Thunder Dome. Cranford went 4-7 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winner was José Montalópez in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Juan Cantú took the loss. The Thundercats, now 24-22, have won 4 in a row.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Richardson City right fielder IV Seacat, facing Juan Cantú, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Thundercats the 7-6 win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Seacat said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
