Thundercats Win in Extras
|
The Richardson City Thundercats topped the Grafton Middies, 4-3, in United States Silver League action at Field of the Middies. The player of the game was Richardson City pitcher Stanford McCain. Reliever Joe Pruitt picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Kenete Daku took the loss. The Thundercats now have a mark of 21-22.
Juan Macíel was 2-5 with 2 singles and a walk for Richardson City. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 11th. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Kenete Daku. It was his 8th walk of the season.
"We did a lot of things right," said Macíel.
