Getting an impressive start from Marvin Martin, Las Vegas beat Rocky Mountain by the score of 5-2. Martin, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Ernest Torres.
One of the key players for the Flamingos was right fielder Glyn Bolasky, who drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning. For the game, Bolasky went 3 for 4 with 3 singles.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Martin told the Las Vegas Chronicle.
The Nuggets, at 15-20, have lost 5 straight games.
