Game was big. So was Ramón Molina.

The Northern Virginia starter rose to the occasion at Wolf Den in Vancouver today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Rainbow Mermaids to a crucial 6-1 victory over the Vancouver Grey Wolves. Molina threw 7 innings allowing 1 run as the Rainbow Mermaids won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2032.

José Ruíz aided the Northern Virginia cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ruíz said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Game 6 is set to be played Monday at Atlantica. Slated to start are Gerardo Pagán for Vancouver and Aurelio López for Northern Virginia.
